![]() If you wouldn't mind another suggestion...I was wondering if the date thing could be fixed to be in everyone's respective timezone? Mine reads 6 hrs later than it actually is. Hope that's not too picky... |
Maniac (V) Lord Mad Scientist Sovereign of all the lands Ozone and just beyond that little green line over there... From: Stockholm, Sweden |
![]() Heh, I might be able to do that, I've already set it to display things in MY timezone, which is Sweden right now. It might not be easy, Javascript can pull the times from your machine, but a server-side script pulls it from the SERVER, which is in Minnesota and thinks the time is 7 hours less than it is for me. I'll have to think on this one...<P>-doc- |

![]() No hurry, I just happened to notice and wondered if it was possible.<P>------------------ |
Lunatic (VI) Mad Scientist From: Massachusetts, USA |
![]() You could put an option in the preferences thing that let's people specify their current date and time, and it would account for the difference that way. I also thought of a different way you could combine Perl and JavaScript, but it's really complicated... |
Maniac (V) Inmate From: under the bed |
![]() I like it displaying "Sweden" time. I KNOW what time it is here, I like to see what times the Doc posts his messages - an interesting aspect as far as I'm concerned. |
Bipolar (III) Inmate From: Alaska, USA |
![]() Not to stir the pot with slime or anyone else, but I'm with DL-44. I like seeing what time it is when Doc posts. |
Bipolar (III) Inmate From: Alaska, USA |
![]() Oh and BTW Doc, I like the addition of locations, and #'s of posts for the members. How many posts does it take to become a full fledged lunatic anyway? |
Maniac (V) Lord Mad Scientist Sovereign of all the lands Ozone and just beyond that little green line over there... From: Stockholm, Sweden |
![]() Heh heh. Actaully, Malin and I are the ONLY lunatics on the board, that's another word for moderator. I'll look into hacking that one a bit, shouldn't be too hard. Where should the cut-off be? Suggestions appreciated!<P>-doc- |
Bipolar (III) Inmate From: Alaska, USA |
![]() Hmmm...how about 50? If someone posts 50x, that would usually be an indication that said lunatic candidate cares enough about the Ozone forum to warrant promotion to full fledged lunacy....what do you other maniacs think? (slime, DL-44?) Maybe you guys have another suggestion too eh? |
Lunatic (VI) Mad Scientist From: Massachusetts, USA |
![]() I think we should try to come up with as many as possible, and make the differences between the post counts get larger and larger. Something like...<P>75: lunatic |
Bipolar (III) Inmate From: Alaska, USA |
![]() OK...gotta email DL-44 to see what he thinks of it as well. Of course it's still going to be up to the L.I.C. (lunatic in charge) Doc Ozone heheheh<P> |
Paranoid (IV) Mad Scientist From: EN27 |
![]() How about Sanitarium Bound, Bedlamite, Ebeneezer, Schizoid, Neurotic, Diseased, Aberration, Driveler, and finally Rambling for those that reach some ungodly number of posts and prove that we can have too much time on our hands.<P>And if we get too carried away we can start people off with Cataleptic until they reach ten or so posts. <P>------------------ |
Maniac (V) Inmate From: under the bed |
![]() Okay, how 'bout this:<P>1. Confused |
Lunatic (VI) Mad Scientist From: Massachusetts, USA |
![]() Wow. Just thinking about what a productive conversation this is. |

![]() Hey Doc, just wanted to say good job with the "number of posts" info. Thanks for replying in such timely fashion, I know you're busy with things other than just the Forum.<P>------------------ |
