Tell me...does anyone know a site where I can get a list of all those Net abreviations, like lol, rofl, brb, fwi, etc...? I don't know what half of them are so I'd like to find out, especially what the hell FWIW means...anyone know?

Uh, l33t is NOT an abbreviation. It's just a lame way to say "elite" that a lot of people think is cool.

I suppose I can help a bit though...

lol = laughing out loud
rofl = rolling on floor laughing (which is short for...)
rotflmao = rolling on the floor laughing my ass off.
brb = be right back
bbiab = be back in a bit
bbl = be back later
fyi = for your information
btw = by the way
imo = in my opinion
imho = in my HONEST opinion
rtfm = read the _______ manual
stfu = shut the ____ up
ttyl = talk to you later

That's just a few of the basic commonly used ones. I don't know of any sites with them all, but then, people come up with new ones all the time.

Theres also ITMTM that just means I Touch Myself Too Much, thats a common one I see a lot....

If you're referring to the abbreviations, you just take the first letter of each word. That simple. If you're referring to the dumb "1337" speak, they just take symbols that RESEMBLE the letters they're replacing. "1337" speak is the epitemy of stupidity though... once used by hackers to hide their messages from forums that scanned for certain words... now it's only used by teenage game players who think they're bad-ass hackers because they pirate a few little programs.

So what is fwiw?
