This is the problem with web design.....its to tempting to take . Thats why im moving towards flash files. But on the other hand Doc you could look into a server software called HTML/OS which is a cgi engine server side that does dynamic sites and all the code is hidden in templates check it out..........might be a good way to secure your work ....Cyber. |

Looks like the designer of this one, though, is more likely to give in to emails about it... judging from the quality of the site, at least, they seem like they would have less confidence than that korean one. Hah - can you really tell that much about someone from their web site? We'll find out... |

Doc, that sucks I too am just a skip from Santa Cruz but I don't think it would make a difference, I doubt these two know that the design is a rip-off (but they might be interested if they paid for it). |

Heh. I just heard from one *very* confused musician, he didn't quite understand the fuss, he had a firend design his site, thought it was cool, and forgot about it. I actually believed him, he understood copyright violations real well and seemed genuinely concerned. He's going to talk to his buddy (and hopefully give him some heavy shit for putting him into this predicament!) I'm going to lie low for a few days on this one, give him a chance to fix things up. If I don't hear from him by weeks end, we can discuss possible scenarios with rope and mailbombs and stuff. ;-) |

Gees, that would be pretty cool Doc. Mighty generous of you to even consider. I am sure that they would appreciate it a lot, hell who wouldn't. That is if you can it it into your busy busy schedule. It sure is hassle to deal woth this kind of stuff, but when you encounter someone willing to deal with the problem immediately, it almost doesn't matter. Good to know that not everyone is a thief, there are just plain naive people out there too that just don't know the rules yet. |

Hey, talking about window resize, has anyone here ever used Macromedia Dreamweaver 3.0? 'Cause it actually has an automatic javascript thingy in it that you can tell it to add to your page that solves that problem of windows contents going weird in NS when you resize the window. It contains a severe coolness factor. |

Not that I have anything worth copywritting, but if I did, how would I go about it? To be honest I just think the little copywrite notice on the bottom of the screen is nifty and want it to be legit! |

Basically, any work created by you recorded in a permanent format (type, audio recording, sketch on a napkin) is automatically protected under copyright law. Registering your work with the U.S. Copyright Office does provide you with better legal security, but is not necessary to own copying rights. Here are a couple of links to get you started... |
