Hi ya's,
First off, you all amaze me and I wish I had an inkling of your talents! I know I can never reach the level of creativity and master the programs and scripts and other mind-boggling techy things you all have..at least not in any reasonable amount of time.
So that brings me to why I'm here.

I'm hoping one of you would be willing to hook me up with a cool interface, cuz seriously I have no clue how to do it on my own. I only know HTML. I run a Michael Jackson website & fan club based in the USA and I'm re-designing at the moment..but I'm not satisfied with what I've got so far and basically wanna scrap it and start yet again. I'd like to use an industrial/techno-type look..ya' know, like the way cool stuff you all know how to make.

There are more websites dedicated to Michael Jackson than any other artist on the planet, so I need an *original* interface, and as I said i only know HTML so I'm not really gonna get anywhere with that.

Youre probably thinking if I help you, what is in it for me? Well, you tell me please and I'll try and compensate. Unfortunately I cant pay because I'm just a poor uni student who does this as a volunteer. But i'm not gonna just go steal something so i dont really have another option than to ask for help. But i dunno, i'll stick your name and links on every page or something lol.

I really need something that an entire site can be based on and that I can maintain on my own after an initial set-up.

Even if you hate Michael Jackson please don't just write me off...just pretend its for someone else if you want =)

Hi Sandy...and welcome to the asylum. There's a few good one's here that I could recommend depending on what you're planning to do.

For 3D interfaces, I'd ask DL-44 or r@m and Phil who are in some sort of web alliance (r@m and phil that is) for cool java stuff and toys, Slime and Bitdamaged are names that come to mind.

For quicktime, and all of the bells and whistles, you should get with DocCyber...

For ferret recipes, you can usually ask Rend, and if you want to meet a Hawaiian who "plays" hockey in Alaska, click on the "2wins" image below....but be afraid...be very afraid....

I mean I would be fearful of any Hawaiian claiming to play hockey in Alaska! LOL

Wel...A Michael Jackson site eh? This is a question to everyone else, if we jointly want to do an interface for this fine individual (BTW: Thanx for asking not just taking, if you look back through the archives, you will see how many people just decide to take.), then how could we achieve a white rhinestone look? Think about it, michael jacksons famous 'One-Glove' thingy. If you want anyone on this forum to do an interface for you, you are going to need to tell us what kind of effect you are looking for, and what links you require on the menu.

Hey guys, thanks a bundle for replying =) I'm so glad!

Cool suggestion Skaarjj - white rhinestones...how very Michaely! ...see, i knew ya'll were closet fans :P

I dunno if you followed the link to my site in my first post...but there's a graphic there at the top of the page - it's a gold metallic face with dark purple and red lettering. I'm pretty fond of those colors for a color scheme (and if not gold, then silver/chrome). There is a lot more to the original picture of that face btw. I'm open to ANY changes though...but i do quite like the metallic look.

I need something where the main menu is always viewable from any page, and the links on the main menu need to be News & Media, The Club, Fan Fair, Picture Perfect, Behind the Music, Up Close, and Contact. (Each of these sections will have a few sub-sections, except for Contact)

I dunno if this would help but I could post/email a pic(s) of MJ that could be used/manipulated if need be...not that the interface HAS to be made with MJ on it...like, i said, i'm game to anything.

hmmm..what else...well, i'll just leave it at that for now. Look forward to hearing from ya's =)

Hmmm...what would I recommend? SSI, SSI, and more SSI, plus some javascript to make the menu. We could always try a metallic Gold and chrime interface with funky purple plactic buttons, and wite rhinestomes at the corners holding it onto the 'wall'.

About being a closet fan, I'm not, I really don't mind him either way, but it is a piece of trivia that I know. A strange thing for a sixteen year old to know.

Also about not being able to reach our level of sophistacation, anyone can do it. Al it takes is some patience, the right equipment, and a bit of faith and imagination.
