Sorry guys I just had to post this. Have any of you seen the movie hackers? That is the all time greatest movie. I know it's a little surreal but it is still cool. My dad use to have the video at his store but I dunno where it is and can't seem to find it anywhere. Do any of you know a place where I can get it?

that movie is an absolute piece of shit. i was actually having a conversation earlier today about how the movies "hackers" and "slc punk" completely cast real people in a light that makes me want to puke.

please though, why not order something like blade runner or even brainscan instead.. argh.

mbridge -- actually the ultimate hacker movie (which i remembered 30 seconds after i posted the first message) is war games. any movie where you get the girl by changing grades... mmm... plus it's complete 80's cheese.

neither GITM or AoD are hacking movies...they are just damn funny late 80s classics. I think the best hacking movie is the Matrix!

thank god.....i thought army of darkness "2" passed right by me somehow. that would surprise the hell out of me. evil dead, evil dead 2, and army of darkness are ALL classics in my book. nothing can touch these movies.

what the hell is bruce campbell doing now anyways?? he did the voice for the game tachyon by novalogic, i think that is the most recent.

impeach c*****n and put bruce campbell in the white house, that will fix the world...

Actually, Gene Hackman *did* do a plausible hacker in that movie! I loved his "bunker", I know a couple of the old crew from that era who have built bunkers for themselves, it worked for me. Seems to me Hackman played some other role, more about spies and spy stuff, but the prototype for that role, hmmm...

War Games! Now there was a good bit of cheese! Changing grades in high school is cool, but usually doesn't get you the girl, just a bunch of friends on the football team (thus speaks the voice of experience! ;-) I had my first war dialer back in the late 70's, searching for modems on the other end, it was common practice, usually the best way to find BBS's and corporate networks. Never found any super-intelligent government computers, though. :-(

Hmmm what was that movie with Cindy Crawford where her and that guy were being chased by Russian guys and one of them was a hacker who was using his l33to buri33to computer to single handedly stop them? Anyone see that?
