I've never done any secured web pages before, but I've been given the assignment of making a secure form where people can register for classes. I don't need credit card processing, but I do need to be able to e-mail the card #s securely (the department already has CC processing)...

Are there any websites with simple CGI scripts to e-mail a form securely? I also probably need to learn the basics of secured web-pages. I have access to the Unix box running the web server in x-windows, so I should be ableto make any configuration changes I need.

jiblet -

For secure pages, look up some information on .htaccess files.

Thanks for the help... I haven't found the exact information I need yet, but I have found some interesting stuff.

Hopefully the tech guy here can help me out a bit. It sucks though, because our full-time tech guy just quit, leaving me pretty much in charge of the server. We get 10 hours a week from this new guy, but I don't know if he will be able to help me... hopefully <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

You also might want to be looking into getting a https:// address, a secure http site, if that isn't what was just suggested, cause I'm taking a stab in the dark here.
