![]() How do you do the transparency like on this site?
Maniac (V) Inmate From: under the bed |
![]() If you are refering to the transparent signature images, it's pretty simple. Set the background color of your image to the background color of the forum cells (remember there are two alternating colors, so you'll have to find the average color). Then when you export your .gif, select the background color to be transparent. |

![]() Ahh, saw your other post....now I see what you're asking. The transparency is still a graphics issue, not a coding one, but has more to do with on/off checkered backgrounds.

![]() I dont follow on off checkered background? |

![]() Well, I'm not sure if this is actually what Doc did, but the general idea is that every other pixel in the images that pop up with the text is transparent, so that you see through to the background as if it were a translucent screen. |

![]() No, that's one of the key transparency methods, as detailed in the Advanced Transparency tute. If you're talking about my front page, that's another story, the image that *looks* transparent is actually not, it's an image in it's own layer that's designed to appear that way, and the text drop in over it on another layer.
