Tutoring would be a lengthy process. But I can lead you in the right direction.

My first stop would be www.webmonkey.com These guys have some great tutes on this subject. The other place to go would be www.projectcool.com.

CSS is also one of the building blocks of DHTML if you are looking to get a book on the subject I would reccomend getting a fat DHTML book which starts with a couple of CSS chapters. This will also give you a good resource for starting with javscript/DHTML which will realy make the CSS stuff cool

If you want a quickie tutorial to get you started, I believe the first place I learned about CSS was at http://www.westciv.com/style_master/academy/hands_on_tutorial/index.html

Wes, that was a pretty good tutorial for style sheets. I wish I would have had that link when I was learning how to write .CSS.

Yeah, they looked pretty complicated to me so I was avoiding them until I came across that tutorial. Turned out they were a cinch and I don't know how I ever did without them!

I've gotten most of my raw info from http://projectcool.com , but I've actually learned the most just from looking at source code.

I am going to have to second Wes' link. I just took the tutorial, it is 13 lessons and the instructor tells you it will take you 10 hours to complete but I think that if you sit down for an hour or two you will have it done. The only problem that I did find with the tutorial is the lack of references for the tags, but those can be found elsewhere. If you are going to start on that tutorial have a second window open with all references, that would have been something that would have made it an even faster exercise.

Really? It says 10 hours? I don't remember it taking that long.

I think someone's mentioned it here before, but WebReview.com's Master Compatibility Chart make for an excellent properties reference, noting which ones work in which browser versions.
