Ugh, I guess its been about 2 days now, 2 days since phong.com went blank. In the source, all thats there is a <br> tag.. Even the banner at designsbymark.com is blank.

Does anyone know where Phong.com is?

no, but seriously, his server took him down because of too many hits. And they wont let him be accesible if he upgrades...

Yeah most hosting providers set bandwidth limitations per pricing package. Phong does get a lot of hit's however. I thought he sells ads? Can't he use the dough to get a dedicated server?

Ack! I'm sure I have his address on file, but not here at my in-laws computer! I'd be willing to bet that phong@phong.com would work, they may have axed his webserver, but they probably haven't done anything with email. I just sent off an email to him just now, we'll see what we see. This is just the kind of disrespect that we have to stamp out - "Who is John Galt?"

Yah, he's emailed me with his new address, but it's redirected to the *old* address, and so, it bounces. I feel for poor Anson, I'd be going ballistic if my site was down for so long.

I think that thats like a slap in the face from his host. I bet the host can get a lot of prestig'e and clients for hosting a site like Ansons', and can afford to upgrade the server himself for the traffic it gets. after all im sure there is a link to the host on the page, which is seen every day by dozens, if not hundreds, of people. Bad move there, i would say. Not to mention the fact it probably upset Anson a lot, and a man with followers is a man with power.

I think Anson is missing in action...and so does his site. But I visited DBM just now and found out that phong.com is upgrading and will be back soon.

My only hope is that Anson will keep the POV-RAY tutes 'coz its the best that I could found on the web.

Lets just hope that phong.com will be back very soon and Anson will dring along a new innovations on the web...hope so..!!

yeah.. this is farooq, but with a new nickname. i didn't like that one. any ways, i'm friends with one of the guys that knows phong in real life and works at circle graphics. he told me that phong and mark from designsbymark.com are both getting a really good server together.
