Preserved Topic: so basic that it hurts... (Page 1 of 1)

i've got the scrolling horizontal bar of death on a page.. is there any simple way to turn scrolling horizontally off, but leave vertically intact?

hehe "horizontal scrollbar of death"...I've made an impact on this board demmit.

Mikey: Dependent on how the offending page is accessed, you can put:

onClick='window.open("blahblahblah.html", NAME="blah_window","scrollbars=1")'

into the anchor tag of the link to open the page.

If the page is a main site page, without a link to open it, it might be tougher. In that case, you should go through your design, and see where you can put in some collapsing table cells if possible.

Hope it helps, but if you post a link, I might be able to suss out where you could gain a few pixels.

thanks for the help, that was my original thought actually.. unfortunately the 'problem' was occuring on my splash page. i came up with a different solution to my graphical interface last night that i feel works a lot better though, plus it eliminates the scrolling bar. woohoo!

no problem on the guestbook, figured i would sign it since i admire your work and bookmarked your site...
