That script is very simple, im talking 3 options, post, delete post, there was something else, i dont remember though.

They have UltraBoard, its very similer to the board the Doc here uses. Its like 40 buck for the professional version, and the personal version is free. Or you can spend 200$ on UBB, which is what Doc uses. If you really want me to, ill send you an older version of UBB. Yea, thats piracy, but what company has the right to sell some code for 200$ yearly. Not a 1 time fee. How lame is that? Yeah, email me if you'd like me to send you a copy. But how about keeping it discreet.

Wait...UBB is a yearly fee of $200? I thought it was one time only! Crap! And I was going to use it to create a board of my own...

so, does anyone know where I can get sone free scripts?

Okay, I usually hate pimping projects here...but a friend did the graphic work for a new board that I'm distinctly impressed with.

The "VBulletin Board" is a PHP and MySQL based board that's still got the UBB "feel" while being even more customizable.

I originally saw it in use at http://artbeast.org a project that I helped with, and then I suggested it to the http://hole.com webmistress, and she took my advice (so you can see it in action).

The nice part about the board...a one time fee of 150-160 I believe it is..and as I said..a much nicer set up than even the UBB.

And for the starter of the thread, there IS a freeware "lite" version of the vBulletin board available at the site.

YapBB looks really nice. I dont know sqaut about MySQL though. My page is being hosted at Hyper Mart for the time being. Anyone happen to know if Hyper Mart even supports MySQL?

They are working on MySQL sevices right now.

btw with YaBB comes a good readme file wich point out anything you need to now about this stuff

You can get a free version of UBB as well.

And I agree that the $200 per year sucks. Why? Cuz I'm running almost a dozen copies!

So, prices aside, which board do you guys find the easiest to maintain, while having some of the best features? I kind of like this one (UBB), but does anyone have any major pros or cons about it?

I tryed the Freeware UBB out and it sucks! Just to say the least.

As for a con about the UBB, Hummm let's see how about the $200 a year fee!

Goto diablo2.cybergamer.com. There you will see a nice asp board that hass ubb feel. Its done using ASP and SQL. I plan to have the board on a site soon.I dont knwo if my partner has plans of selling it, but if some peeps here want it. I can hook up my buds here. Right now its not ready to be put up for download.

That forum looks nice. Let me know when and where it's avaiable for download. I don't know much about ASP, but i'll give it a shot!
