On the computer in my room its not a problem, here though ie just freezes up on me and then i hafta close it. Its beginning to get annoying and I cant figure out why it would do this. Any thoughts or comments? I mean microsoft suppots mac's so why can i not access i mac website?

I swear, I think it's intentional on some level, it happens *way* too often. Admittedly, IE5 on the Macintosh is a hellish browser, one of the least stable (and kinda ugly) in my opinion. I've also found that I can't view any of the msdn.microsoft.com pages using Netscape either. I've checked it out, the fonts are about 2 pixels tall, and they have a "special" CSS style sheet, just for Netscape! Odd how that works, hmm?

Why don't you let us double check this. Give us the OS you're runing on, and which browser (5.0 or 5.5) and point us to a site that crashes for you. If we can duplicate it, maybe we can help somebody fix things! FWIW, I always blame the developers rather than the browser, good design should be checked in all browsers.

Thanks Doc, Im running Windows 98 (second edition) on this computer and I'm using Internet Explorer 5.0 (more specifically 5.00.2919.6307). I dont know if I can check the actual version of Windows 98. The CD just says Second Edition. Also, any apple sites in particular freeze up my computer. Try www.apple.com though.

If you guys can help me out, Id appreciate it. In the meantime Im going to update to ie 5.5

Quick Guess. Try downloading and installing the newest version of Quicktime. Of course the bestplace for this is www.apple.com/quicktime which may not be possible to get to. try www.download.com and see if they have it.

Apple uses a lot of quicktime on their site so you may be having a problem more with that than anything else

Bitdamaged: Thanks for the imput. Im fairly sure I have the latest version of Quicktime but I still might as well check right? I dont think thats it because nothing actually loads in the browser. All I get is a white shell of a browser that doesnt do anything else. It says the name of the page on the top but thats the only actual thing that comes up. Ill hafta download it anyway tho, so thanks!
