Preserved Topic: photoshop for idiots (Page 1 of 1)

What do you recommend for a Photoshop total beginner who's tried learning it by playing around with it, and is still scratching his head? Please note I know nothin about no Java or Schmava. All I know is that I'm missing out on a whole lotta fun. Thank you.

As far as books go Ive always been kind of partial for the Photoshop 5/5.5 WOW Book. I think its pretty easy for beginners to understand yet useful enuff for more advanced users.
