Well, i was just wondering what the best pay host you guys have come upon was? I just happened upon 4netaccess and from what i read, this gives you basically everything you need, php, mysql, 20 email accounts along with quite a bit of space, and unlimited bandwith, for a very small price.

Has anyone else found any good hosting sites?

I really like HostPro ( http://www.hostpro.net ) they do everything and more, plus they will bend over backwards as far as support goes. They have a package for everyone. I'm going to be switching to them very soon. But I have worked with several people who have used them, and I'm very impressed with how they've done.

Thats a bit more expensive then 4netaccess, but it looks ALOT more professional, and im not sure about 4netaccess's support.

Well, I've recently been sold on Dreamhost, I love these guys! They also have a referal thingy set up, so if you get others to sign up, eventually you can be paying nothing. (One of my hopes!) I've checked them out pretty carefully, they have multiple T3's and fast servers, good ping times and traceroutes, and the service is pretty dirt cheap. Check it out, I've got 4 domains there right now, and Malin has 2. My current fave for this kind of thing.

Out of sheer curiosity, doc, would ozones.com be classified as a "personal" or "commercial" site? I'm guessing personal...

OK! At dreamhost right now I use the "Crazy Domain Insane!" plan. I wrote them first and warned them of what kind of a burden I could be, and after hearing back from them (an enthusiastic response!), I transferred my domain www.handson.nu over there. After I got it up and running, I pulled all of the tutorial pages off of the VISI server and sent that traffic over there. Technically they have a 2 gig/month limit, but the support crew assured me that that was only a "soft" quota, and overages on my part would be OK. (Made me happy, I'm up to 5 gigs so far this month for that one site.) I also run my new company website there, www.PrimalContent.com - not much there yet but contact info and snaps of our business cards, but I'll build the bulk of my informational site there and then link out for my heavier database end. I also run www.PrimalShape.com - ditto nithing there yet, but I'm planning to start offering black and white masks for use in Photoshop, (or others). As many weird shapes as I can come up with, plus a series of interface shapes and such, should be a good resource I hope. (Could be a *wildly* popular resource, I don't think anyone else is offering this kind of thing, are they?) I also have www.DefaultCity.com - I sense a business idea with this one, but what kind? Perhaps a portal, PrimalContent is designed to make turning any site easily into a portal, could be a good spin-off. I've also got www.DocOzone.com - this should turn into the main entry point dfor the OZONE family of websites. (This last domain is just parked for now.)

I'm going to wait until this next month passes just to make sure that those extra gigabytes really *weren't* a problem like they said, but I don't expect any grief. The trick is talking to them first, SysAdmins hate surprises! :-)
