hi again.. hehe.

i was just checking out my web site usage stats.. and there's a host that keeps showing up, like lots.

in the past week they've had 260 requests... i myself have had 121 and the next closest one is 41 requests in a week.

i only get unresolved dns entries and i tried to track it, but had no real luck... telusplanet.net // telus.net is the best i could do.

161.184.236.246 is the address, is something fishy going on or am i being paranoid? either way i'd like to know, i'm not familiar with this stuff and it seems interesting.

Well, seeing as how Telus is a Canadian company, based in the city I live in, providing the DSL line that I use, it's possible that all the people I've been referring to your site have been showing up, or all my surfing of it has been recorded. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/wink.gif">

If not, all I can say, after running a whois query through ARIN, is that it is local to my area (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) and it doesn't an assigned DNS specifically.

Mikey...I dunno to be honest man. I was thinking about that hit count last night after posting, and it does seem...damned high.

Seeing as how there's no discernible DNS though, someone using your images would have to be using them locally on their terminal.

I'd find that a bit odd too. Maybe you just have a stalker in my neighbourhood. Lucky man...the stalkers around here are world class.

Well, as for the hits, the one thing that comes to my mind is that maybe someone spidered your site with a tool like webzip or Offline Explorer. That's how I reverse engineer some things. That might have caused a large amount of traffic coming from one location. I could demonstrate if you want to contact me offline.
