WTF DG, quit deleting and locking my shit. I had some good stuff written up, and u deleted the fucking thread.

I didn't delete your thread....I just posted a new one about it going missing when I posted.

The forum is seriously scrwed right now.

The reason I close a thread.

When a conversation becomes an argument, it raises my eyebrow to watch it. If that argument is logical, without being belligerent, cruel, pointless, or infantile, then I like to watch where it goes, and the ideas expressed.

If that argument however becomes posturing, juvenile, pointless, cruel, etc. EXACTLY like the last one did, then the thread is useless.

I didn't close it after the warez shite, I asked that we keep it to a minimum, just to give some respect for the man who ultimately has to answer for what happens here, but I left the thread live. I DID close it after what became a pitiful display of dick measuring, in millimeters I might add.

If you want to debate..have at it, I'll get right into the thick of it as well. If you want to "talk shit" go to the Seven Eleven, and hang out with the other "cool" curbheads, and spread it there.

The UBB Gremlins are back, I don't think you were here when we had the last attack Reve. Things may be a little screwy for the next day or so. At least this time Doc isn't on vacation when the Gremlins come to visit.

And I'd just like to add, please keep a civil tounge in your head. I can understand being upset, but it's no reason to use that kind of language.

Well, i cold give u a huge list, people between the age of 16-18, normally dont have 500$ to spend on photoshop, and additional 400-500$ on each other piece of software, some adults dont have that kind of money. Advertising warez to people who would sell it, running warez sites, giving it out to every etc. thats gay, and for people who have to much time on there hands, but i guarentee that alot of people in this forum dont have that kind of money to spend on software. Im telling people about this stuff for personal enjoyment, profit, to hurt companys etc. Im doing it because i know theres alot of talent in this forum, and eyezaar,(sp) was asking for more editing software. Quite of few other people have asked as well, I wouldnt do it if i knew it would go to waste, or would get sold, used for a bad purpose. I may contradicte myself in a few places, but u generally get what im saying.

I am with mikey on this one!

time to move on and get back to the main point.... everything 'graphics'

Reve, its cool to talk about warez in ICQ (etc.) but the Doc's forum gets a lot of attention and it could get him in trouble. Just try to avoid it at all costs. I know I seem like a hyprocrite but oh well, try not to get the Doc arrested, anally raped by same inmate and then fined for everything he has. I agree, but i will defend myself, nothing ive done is wrong, and im not sure if doc could even get in trouble. Someone go into detail on that one. Seems to me like charging the phone company for haressing phone calls. and stuff like that.

Ok if you live in one of those weird countries it isnt wrong, but here in the US where I am from it is punishable up to 15 years in a federal state prison. Anyways drop, i am just asking that you keep it in ICQ or emails. I like coming here to read interesting posts and learn from my fellow artists. I am not trying to play the a$$hole, I am just trying to keep our good pal Doc out of bubbas cell where he could under go many hours of unwanted fun.

Well Reve, lets expand it then.

Doc owns this space, and quite visibly moderates the forum sections and threads in question. He does have a usage policy, and a set of "rules" for those posting. This mostly stands as a disclaimer against content that he cannot control.

However, with these posts standing here, showing not only the endorsement of illegal copies of software, but publishing the Serial number for use by another person (which is actually illegal if you read your terms of use kiddo. One copy..one Serial number, unless you buy a distribution and/or multiple use license...got one?), it starts moving into the realm of negligence, since he is in place to "moderate" within acceptable time limitations.

Could he be sued? Yes. Would they win? Doubtful. But let me ask you Reve, have you ever been sued, or had to fight an injunction? Think you want to do so, even if you would win in the end? Have your forum shut down, or your webspace revoked?

Doc most probably has a unique deal for his server space, but he also has terms of service and use that he has to sign for. I can guarantee that part of that contract is a clause to have no pornography, copyright infringed content, cracks, serials, or warez. Now, is he breaking that rule by letting your post stand? Not directly...but again, it's past the grey area enough. Sad part..in the case of your Serial number babbling, he could actually be in breach of his contract.

Now..all the aforementioned can be legally damaging, but takes a supreme backseat to ONE fact. The man himself, has asked before, and recently that the warez talk take place in private conversations, if it even needs to be hinted at here. And, maybe it's just me, but this is a community I truly like, and someone else's cyber "house" that he chooses to invite his friends over to daily, and I have a tendency not to piss in the plants, if the homeowner..and friend...asks me not to. Did your parents teach you the same way? I'd truly hope so.

You'll most probably be a great addition to this community here Reve, and I look forward to what you can teach, and share with me, and everyone else here. I will ask once again though, can you respect what tiny thing has been asked here? The idea of having to follow after someone and clean their mess is abhorrable to me, and I'd really hate for people to get the wrong first impression of you.
