Man i haven't posted in a while, stupid school! But newayz can someone send me to a tutorial or something on how to get the smoking/misty effect found at www.animelegacy.net?? Thanks!

Oh, that's easy! <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif"> That's just a solid color (possibly clouds overlay) with the wonderful smudge tool with artistic brushes. nothing too complex, but is time consuming. Start inside the color and smudge out of it.

that's a pretty cool graphic.. i just wish it faded out to pure black though, the edges look like ass.

it wont load for me in netscape 4.04 fyi.. but in IE 4.0 it loads...

Try this... add a layer mask to an image, and create a rectangle of white surrounded by black. Then, select the white area, decrease the selection a few and feather it about 2 to 4. Invert the selection and then you can use some of the filters to play with the edge. Ripple, glass, some of the artistic brushes, etc... I find this is the best way to toy with a border without causing havoc to the inside too much.

found some cool tutorials , amongst them is smoke.....on a slightly smaller scale than the effect your looking for, but with a bit of tweaking it might work....
