take what's under your text and double that layer. sandwhich the text between those two layers like so: |

Sort of but not quite.... I want to have the wordz "Absolute Zer0" in red on a swirling background. And i want to have a big letter Z come throught it 3-D looking and distort the backgrounf and "Abolute Zer0" got any more advice? |

Merge your background and text, make a circular selection, and then sphererize. Didn't Phong do a tutorial on this? |

It's not really all that tuff. Make the Z and the swirly background...wow, this is going to be really ugly. Anyway, select the outline of the Z (control-click on the Z layer), then go to the background layer. With the Z's outline still selected, run the pinch filter several times. Deselect and you're done. |
