I recently devastated my hard drive ( and myself) and had to reformat and start over. At the time I also upgraded from Win 98 to Win ME (It seems to suck so far). 1.Here's the problem(s). I have very few PS fonts now? Did I do something wrong on the PS 5.5 re-install? 2. I was developing a site and used the font "gothic copperplate light" in some areas. Now, when I vie the site, it's in "Times" (<--my second choice in my style sheet). Is there some way to get this back? It worked fine before the fiasco. Anyone know what's wrong here? (aside from the fact that I ask stupid questions, of course) (AND, Doc, thanks for answering my questions. I didn't get back to you right away to thank you because of the problems I was having---I truly meant no disrespect---and I again thank you for your help!!)
vogonpoet Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: Mi, USA Insane since: Aug 2000	posted 09-27-2000 20:56 I havent used ME before, but I am presuming it still has a Windows Font folder?.. if it has.. have you checked to see if the font you want ("gothic copperplate light") is installed there?.. maybe that font is not supplied as part of ME?... if its not in the windows font folder, that is why your browser can't find it and use it, thus defaulting to your second font choice! not sure if this is the right answer but.. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif"> (EDIT) and btw.. the only stupid question is the question that is not asked!!) Check your font folder: START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>FONTS and check all the type of fonts installed in your hard drive. PS will grab all the font from that FONTS folder, if I'm not mistaken. You can add the fonts if you like.. 2. If you're developing a site, use only the basic font, like Arial, Verdana, Times, etc.. if the font that you use is not installed in the "viewers" hard drive, the browser will use the basic font set for the browser, that is Times... so get back to the basic fonts... 3.
