i bet you all thought i was dead or something...*almost* but not quite. whats even funnier is i bet no one even noticed i was gone...well here i am, with a lot of reading to catch up on.....

Hey, there was more than just learning to drink beer in college! There was chasing girls too, yup. And certain more questionable things than beer too, that too. The most important life-lesson, something actually useful in the work world was in doing assignments. They'd give me 6 weeks to do 6 weeks of work, then I'd drink beer and chase girls for 5 1/2 weeks and then do 6 weeks of work in 3 days! Real life training, that. (Except for the 5 1/2 week part, they leave that out of the work world, sigh.)

thanks for the welcome back...uae is good, i seem to be enjoying quite a bit. it also seems like i could get tired of it fast to though, not a ton of things to do. it is not a new job, i've just been transfered for a while, planned for quite some time but never quite executed right.

as for the beer, girls, and "other stuff"....all of those things sort of go hand in hand i would say...especially when you have more beer, and more "other stuff" than anyone else in the joint(no pun intended). those times were a important life lesson...hehe. but like you said doc, you don't bring that into the work world...I left all of the "other stuff" behind me quite some time ago...the beer is still around every once in a while (except where in uae a beer converts to about $7 US!, i'll pay it though...) and I have a hot chick on my arm...who should be there for a long long long time. so life *is* good.

i was trying to catch up on the gurusnetwork thing yesterday too. haven't quite yet though. i *did* have a few tutorials as promised that i did while traveling, but it seems that my airline has *misplaced* my laptop and one other piece of luggage...so i guess we will have to see what happens. i will try to find the time to re-write them in the meantime. it shouldnt be that hard to pull out of this thick skull of mine...thats it for now...
