Yep, I'd prefer your list to the original, still, I might change a few you have. Personally biased in most cases for me though.

I do think the following should have made the list though....

• Birth of the Pig Demon
• The Asylum switches domains
• The competition in prices of black pills
• Registered member 666
• twitch's website (if it gets up in time)

-just a few thoughts....

I have a few of my own also...I just thought I would share what I found

Although it's been in the works for a few years.... actual tangible progress was made with the new Air to Air Anti-ICBM device. I hear they're converting 747's to do it. That would be something I might put somewhere on my list...

2001 Top Story predictions (in no particular order)

Microsoft is split into four companies MS-OS, MS-Explorer, MS-Office, and MS-World Domination.

Bill Gates becomes the first human to be cloned.

The Florida Voter issue blows up. In an unexpected turn of events the US House and US Congress elect Dan Quayle as President. An unidentified Congressman states; "We need a guy that we know can't do anything."

Later in the year President Quayle invades Canada. Later (after the US National Guard is beaten by the RCMP) Quayle is quoted as saying he thought it was Guatemala, and that someone must have had the map upside down.

The FBI Carnivore project is hacked. Thousands are arrested or facing federal charges for use of the word "Boffo". The FBI maintains that the project was not hacked, and that everyone either arrested or under suspicion are really Drug Lords using the internet to find "more satanic ways of corrupting our youth".

AOL-Time-Warner merges with McDonalds and Philip Morris, creating the worst corporate name in history "McAOL-TWPM". The companies slogan becomes "We Feed You, We Connect You, We Kill You". Joe Camel is reincarnated as the new company mascot.

Corporate War breaks out between MS-World Domination and McAOL-TWPM. Bill Gates(3) (now wearing all black leather and Marilyn Manson style contacts), declares that it's unfair that McAOL-TWPM has so much control over the world, since that is his role as MS-World Domination leader. The war only lasts 9 weeks, and is fought in the rain forests of South America. Major Weapons are modified Nerf Guns, although there were reports of Koosh guns being used there is no evidence to support this. The war only has one Casualty, Harry Alcempt of MS-World Domination became entangled in his shoe laces and fell into a piranha infested pond. At wars end the two corporate powers divide the world in half, and pledge everyone in the world shall get 1500 free hours. The Rain Forest is never the same afterwards.

The XFL and the NFL merge to create the ex-NFL, which is now built up of ex-cons and over indulging frat boys. Nobody notices any difference.

The Rolling Stones produce a quadruple live album. A compilation of the past 40 years of touring. The album breaks all previous sales records. Keith Richards buys Columbia, for his "own private paradise".

Lastly OzoneDotCon is a huge hit. Live Web Casts of the event draw more visitors than the Victorias Secret web model review. Asylumites become cult stars overnight. Soon all members are seen on ZD-TV 24 hours a day. Black Pills become fashionable. The world begins quoting an anonymous Asylum member from OzoneDotCon, "Where the Dinggle fink goes, Wheeh! Where my spoon Mr. Lumpy? I love Lumpy!" While nobody knows what this means, it's generally put down as an overindulgence of some kind.

At least thats what I think might happen......

The sad part is F1.... there's a lot of validity to all to that....

I think the Firestone/Ford issue will carry into headlines this year
I feel a war coming this year or within the next 2 years
Napster will still be news for a short time...nothing major I don't think
The normal flight crashes ~omg that prediction could have made me famous~
I feel our economy will fall even more as the rich man gets richer and the poor man stays poor, big business will grow for the most part but the small man will struggle.

last but not least.... Elvis is found alive in a small pizza shop pigging out with Delta Burk and meemie

Thanks much. And yes I did write all that myself. It's not much, just silly stuff of the top of my head. I guess I'm just wacky. But then again, I'm a member of the Asylum.
