I have a sliced-up picture with a number of slices having links attached to them. When I click on a link with mouse the Internet Exploiter pastes a ghastly outline/frame around the slice, which totally wrecks the image. The outline disappears only by clicking outside any links on the page.

Is there any way to prevent IE from showing this outline on mouse-click?

Thanks for your help already in advance,
