I don't know, but it looks like the Ultimate Internet Opprotunity! Mission & Vision (Flash presentation) 5.5MB download, please be patient!

It was kind of funny, they really did their reseacrh, lots of the facts and figures are the same ones I tracked down for my last business plan, go figger.

OK, I'm a geek with big bandwidth, so I just watched their presentation. The entire concept of "viral marketing" (a fancier name for "Multi Level Marketing" MLM, which has some bad emotional baggage) is a good one, it's somewhat repugnant to many of us, but the whole referal network thing is a proven way to make money. I may not join with an outfit like this, but if they go public, I might buy stock, heh. Funny thing, their presentation showed some great numbers, which match up with the facts as I've researched them, and has a good description of how the long distance breakup happened (leading to the founding of both MCI and Sprint), but I never actually got what they *do*, aside from charging you a $400 setup and $200/year. (Apparently paying you 70% for referals, heh.) How could you refer someone you know and like to this thing unless there was a product/service to be had? Do they do web hosting, what? ... (one more flash presentation, heh) ... OK, it's webhosting, complete with a daemon for creating your own page simply. Funny, I once wrote an analysis for a Network Marketing friend of mine who wanted to bring something like this to the net, and the wehosting option was the only one I could think of that had a chance.

Why am I looking at all this anyway? It's early sunday morning and I'm reading about MLM schemes! Yeesh. Ah well, as MLM goes, it's one of the most viable out there. YMMV.

Am I the only one around here who is an absolute moron when it comes to business?

Reading Doc's post, I got, "Blah blah blah blah blah $400 blah $200 blah blah blah blah web hosting blah blah sunday." Guess this is why I'll never get rich...

To be perfectly honest I was half tempted to join. They practically promise you a $1000 a week and all ya hafta do is buy a sub domain for $400. If it wasnt run by kids I probably would have joined ...
