I have two small questions in relation to a site I am creating.

1: How do I align a text to the top of a table cell? Here is an example. I want the text to the left to be at the top of that cell. I have tried all I can think of in terms of html and css, but nothing seem to work. help!

2: I am making pages with css and layers, and I have found that if I have all the information in layers the schollbars tends to disappear in Netscape. Anyone else notice this? What is a good way to solve it? I tried to just add a couple of Non Breaking Spaces outside of the layers, and that seemed to work most of the time, but not always. On some pages I had to add an invisible table along the left side. like this. But that seemed like a rather unreliable solution... My problem is now that the customer wants to update the page using Frontpage. It seems to keep the layout well when he does that, and the asp code is intact, but for some reason those Non Break Spaces disappeared, and so did the schoolbars in netscape... an example any suggestions?

ZOX, I am not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination, but I *think* if you put valign="top" in your TD tag, that should do the trick. I hope I'm right on this one, can't check cos I'm at work.

Sorry, I can't help on your second question, I have no idea what layers are for and therefore have not tried to use them yet. Hopefully someone else will fill in for both of us.

Thank you Trixter! It worked.

Now I feel dumb though, cause it was such a simple solution <g>Myself I was trying to change the text itself instead of the table.

No problem Zox, I too feell dumb around these parts, especially seeing as I have no idea what you would use layers for (apart from layers in photoshop which are cool!)

I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one around here feeling dumb! You really can start to feel overwhelmed with the knowlege some of the people in this Asylum have with respect to just about anything graphic, or internet related.
