Man, ever since you posted that damn link to www.amihotornot.com... life has steadily began to change here in Okinawa.
First it was just me. I'd get bored... PROBLEM SOLVED!... I'll just go to amihotornot.com. This went on for about a week. I'd just end up there.... like some twisted episode of the twilight zone.
Then I told a couple of my buddies about it. And yes... they became addicted as well. As a matter of fact, I stopped in one of their rooms tonight and they were on it.
I told a few of the guys out at work. boom. next thing you know, everytime I go by their desks, they have it minimized on the screen.

The pyschological aspect of the site is insane when I really think about it.
When people rate... what do they say/ask themselves to deduct their system of rating.... do they have a system at all?
People's moods affect votes.
Did this person show a lot of skin?
You view someone you rate a 1... and then someone who would normally be a 5 comes up. Due to relativity... you vote higher.
Your votes depend on how long you've been on for that "session". You may become more picky towards the end.
Do you find it interesting that most votes are (on average) about 1.5 to 2.0 higher than what you rate?
Personal prefrence is obviously involoved.
Do you give "extra credit" for interesting angled pictures?
Glamour shot....... +1 or -1 ?

Anyway... you see what I'm getting at.

It is addicting. That is so true about the ratings. They are always 1 - 2 points higher than my opinion. Especially if its a woman and she shows the tiniest bit of skin. Look out ratings!

The thing I hate is when it is obviously a model picture and people still rank it high. I just give it a 1 if I have any doubt.

Sometimes when I get really bored of trying to rate them I just put the cursor at like 5 o6 and click as soon as the pic comes up. With DSL I go through tons of pics.

Ever right click on the pic and go to properties? You can see the url of the pic and find out if the person has a homepage. Thats a little added extra sometimes if you get tired of the same old same old.

Geez and I thought me and my friends were bad. We all had pictures up, i know my one friend Brian still goes back practically every day. Hes extremely addicted

Oh... I forgot to mention it myself...
A couple of co-workers and I all decided to put our pics up as well...
which enevitably became some sort of stupid contest....

yeah, i kicked that habit before it got too bad... i think a slow connection helped there....
and i found myself getting very extremist, i woudl give every person a 2,3 8 or 9.
screw all the numbers in between, and no ego needs to find out that they got a 1 or 10.

You know what is fun? Put a normal pic up there and then once they change it switch the pic to something else! tee hee hee

I don't report scores anymore...never even checked them.. I talk on icq and the phone and play so it's like nothing for me to get a low score or a high one if I am not doing other stuff.. nosey hahaha

Ahh......college....party 'till 5am, study 'till the first class, go back to the dorm room, sleep until the next class, go back to dorm room, last class, eat day old pizza, drink warm Mountain Dew (only because the 'fridge is full of beer), call all the boys, go get shit faced, and repeat. I was an art major, fine art history (12-14 century) I had to do something to relieve the bordem.

There used to be a listing in order of rating for amihotornot. I think it was log.waxi.org or something similar. That site sure is addicting.

Ach, I liked the game, and thought it was cool, and then tried to save my high score, creating a profile. NO variation of my name was acceptable, seemed like anything with the word "Ozone" in it was disallowed, I ended up with something stupid like "FragileSatsuma", so, I shall never return. Microsoft sucks, so does MSN. Too bad, the game was OK.
