Mouse pads, coffee mugs, T-shirts,...how do they stick a digital image on it. I wonder how that process works.
For example, did Doc just send them .jpg (or whatever...) file and they did the rest for him. If yes, how?

yup...http://www.cafepress.com...free, just send them your logo, they do everything for you, even set up the store and you just take the profits from how much you mark up the goods...

Ok, but how?

You need a special printer or something?

I haven't done this in a while, but it used to be a "dye sublimation" process, the ink is thick, and the paper it's printed on was waxy. After you printed, you could apply it to whatever you wanted. (The image was printed backwards.) Looking at the results, I have to say that they're doing something more advanced than I was doing, the mug images are scary sharp, perfect! And it goes through the dishwahser, no loss, what's up with that?

Thanks Doc,
The brother of my fiance owns a small store that sells that stuff. Mostly for the tourists (Lisbon). His business doesn't go perfectly during the winter time so I came up with the idea to design something that could attract local people as well. I design, he sells but it gets complicated when you have to print it . Now I have an idea.

The mug is made out of a Ferro-ceramic/Polymer mixture and the design is printed onto it by use of a toner roller, like a colour photoscopier, but much higher quality, the mug then has it glaze put on it, that way the imge is on there till kingdom Come.
