just checked out pixelcore. did any of you guys read/see the RIPs section? i think thats kinda bad/lame/not very nice. ok some of them where genuine rips and i agree that the ppl should be flamed. but some of those where "inspried" and obviously newbie work. ehh i just didnt like it.
all these ppl thinking they are fucking kingshit of the GFX world! argh! they all think they are 2 bloody good to help newbies!! ARGH!!!! ermm *calms down*

eehh sorry for the rant. just had a flame war at a 3dmax forum. where the same thing was happening. there was this guy who was guenuinly try hard! and they flamed the shit though him casue he wasent greater then ILM or something.

the original point of this was to ask if anyone wants to set up an OZONES webring? casue i love everyone at Ozones. !! everyone is so nice and helpfull!

I can dig the idea of a webring, that could be fun! I think we'd need a bit of CGI work, I'll poke around the net and see if anything is available for us, the functionality shouldn't be too hard, the toughest part ios making sure we don't end up with any broken "links in the chain", which could throw the whole thing into a shambles, heh. I'll see what I can find, I've been unimpressed with the whole pixelcore thing, the sites to either side of me are one pagers! (Pretty enough, but only one page!)

Doc, I've just taken a look at a couple of sites that lists cgi scripts and I've found one nice web ring script. It's called Ringlink and you can find it here: http://www.gunnar.cc/ringlink/ . The best thing is that it is GPLed, which means that we can hack it as much as we want!

is every asylum member able zo join that ring or are there some preferences?

Heh, sorry, I got busy helping malin with one of her projects, and didn't get back here as soon as I had hoped. I found a script called "ringlink", from http://www.gunnar.cc/ringlink/ and I've already started modifying it and adjusting parameters! Glad to see that everyone elses research matched up with mine. GNU rocks, doesn't it? Looks like I'll get this up and running this weekennd. Anyone wanna volunteer to admin this thing? I'll do the first stint, get it all set up pretty and such, but I don't want to constantly be running the validator and nagging people about their downtime or missing links! Expect to see a prototype in action this weekend here, in directory /ring/.
