Hey everybody-

I want to download some new antivirus software....I just got a cable modem.

I'm running Win ME on a Dell P3.

I bought (discs) McAfee Virus Scan about 6 months ago, and it crashed my system (ironic, huh?) had to reformat, bummer.

So downloading seems like the ticket.

Anyone have problems with antivirus DL and WIN ME? I had heard that Norton Antivirus didn't play well w/ ME.

Any advice/alternatives/suggestions?

I use AVP for my virus scanner......you can get it from www.avp.com

Zone Alarm for my fire wall....they are my fav's

Shiii- thanks, I already use Zone Alarm. Annoying at first, but cool afterwards!

Rotren- thanks for the 411 on CA's stuff. Wierd, their HQ is about 20 minutes from me, but I never thought of them. And the price is right.

Here's why I was concerned. The icons for my jpeg's seem to change from "IE" to "NN" randomly. (I seldom use NN, maybe just to test stuff) And last night, all the jpeg icons changed into what looked suspiciously like the script Disney trademark! Wild stuff!

:: hmm....maybe I should cut back on the black pills.......
