anyone know where the window's charactor map is? it says how to type things like Alt+someNumbers = symbol |

Off the top of my head, I think Start > Run > "charmap" should work. |

I've never actually gotten those keyboard shortcuts to work though. I've never really had the need...Anyone know why they don't work? |

Oh, Thank? you! Thank? you thank? you thank? you!!! This has been so frustrating for me on my windows box, I *know* all the ascii codes for special characters, but couldn't pull them out of the system, it was driving me crazy! If anyone needs it, I keep a script for outputting the codes at http://www.ozones.com/special.html - I use it all the time, handy. Thanks? again! |

I've noticed Doc that the ascii symbols vary from font to font....that's why charmap is so useful....if anyone needs it for their windows box email me at gemberlingb@hotmail.com and I'll send it to you... |

It should be on your Windows' CD. You may have to install it because windows doesn't automatically install the Character Map program. |
