Excuse me for not introducing myself before starting to add comments - It's a defect of mine, as forgetting to say gooodbye, realy!

On web-designing I know a lot about HTML, love CSS. I handle/modificate Javascript and use DHTML as toys for playing (as a part of the lack of trust in its future - more about that on the All Browsers Suck topics...). On PS I'm human, not more.

I've been following this forum for about 8 months, as a every-day-site!

Born -57 - part of the post-hippie times (missed it totaly!)

Coolness, glad to meet you! I also tend to do that, lurk someplace for a while and then start yakking away like I've been here the whole time, "Hmm? What are *you* looking at?" Heh. Glad you de-cloaked, guess after 8 motnhs you decided we're not so mean after all? :-)

Ah yes, DHTML *is* a toy, the best toy there is, cause we get to build it! I'll check the ABS forum to see what you think about the future, etc, but I think it's going to be here for a while, it's just so darned basic, and integral to all of the new DOM standards. I like doing things with my DHTML that people thought you could only do in Flash, heh, most folks flip when they realize that the code that's powering what they're seeeing is all right there inside "View Source", I like that. ANYways, nice to meet you, don't slip on the wet floors, cool?

Yeah, forgot to say that I'm allergic to Flash! And I just love anything that could beat it!

No, I mean -57! I was 13 going in to 1970... when the hippies were on their way home.

oh i thought it was a dyslexic slip up and that you were born in 75 well after the hippies left the scene.

I was born in 1970....I grew up listening to my parent's disco and my cousin's punk music...til this day I'm very confused!

Welcome, FLAMEhorse, I'm glad you decided to graduate from lurkerdom. I too will lurk in a place like this before I decide to introduce myself. A word to the wise, honesty is king around here. People say exactly what they are thinking so grow an extra layer of skin But if you've lurked for 8 months, I'm sure you already know about that.

Hey, I was born in -58, and my older brother and sister got to go to Woodstock with my hippie uncle. If my Mom hadn't gotten a clue as to what was going to happen, I was slated to be there too, I was very nearly one of those ten year old kids playing naked in the mud puddles, dammit!

I spent the entire 70's trying to pretend that disco didn't really exist, doing my best to recreate those lost hippie years. Then I moved to vermont where I got to live in a commune and collect food stamps! Hippies were still around, they just got a little harder to find, heh.

I didn't introduce myself when I first came to this crazy place, like a guy who just enter the door and began to freak out. Well, excuse me for that. As for myself, I was born in the end of the hippie- times. Currently, I'm a U student, and still trying my best to learn everything (almost, maybe) about web design.

Anyway, welcome to the Asylum, Flame. Glad to have you here. Cool! Got any website?

Disco... That hurts man!
I went to London and bought me those shoes... Remember? With heals like towers! 3-4 inces!
The I felt like the biggest Idiot in town walking in them!
The cool -70...

That's my life: Growing up passing every Idiot-doore there is. Never miss a singel one!

I have a loooot of pages out ther.
But nothing serious.

I get boored fast.

I take a script as a challenge, and then make it move like I want.
At that point it feels out-dated!
Time to move on!

But in the near future I'll let you see my garbage.
Dust of my creations...

I am the opposite of perfection!

I love the slam-bam dunk-it-in stile, in everything I do.
Once a thing gets out of play and joy, it loses magic.

And I'm no-body but me. You wouldn't want to it any other way!

I'm a notpad user. And I mean the windows standard one. I have the NotPad Classic but I only use if for vast html needs.

I've never uses an html editor for making anything, except for playing with Mr.Max's Beauty++ to get his Crazy meny (I like its reliability).

I find the HTML-editors beeing obstacles. Like writing with a pen, and holding the pen with a pair of sticks.
I found this out at the very beginning of my web design life.
And never regret it.

The way I love to work is comming up with someting that means nothing. Zero.
Watch this: http://www.crosswinds.net/~dustroom/
It's just a layer script by the Doc, combined with the Mr.Max Crazy menu.
I made it just because I liked doing it. It has no content - just a brain thing: learn to talk with your brain and it will answer in the language you both know. The dreams is a way for your brain to talk to you, but if you don't talk the same language you won't understand dick. I do a lot of brain experiment. I love experiments.

Starting up with html made me search for inspiration. The 1:st html page i copied was the CIA one. I liked the style.
I also almost went lunatic in hacking it with no knowlege what so ever.
I took away some TD tag (didn't know what the hell it was!) and found the whole page looking like a Rambo visit.

I did this so much I actually found out that I learned HTML. At the same time I was searching for an Editor!! But one day I thougt: "What the hell am I doing? - I don't need an Editor!"

And the fun started as I knew how I wanted to play.
(I was 100% convinced that every pro used an editor!! - And I wanted the best!)
I even belived that the complicated HTML I saw made by some editors was a sign of excellence and mastermind!

Now I don't care. I think the notpad IS the best.
For me.
