Like the previous post I thought I would drop in and say hi. Always liked Doc's work, suppose thats why we are all here. My interests include DHTML and more recently am heavily into exploring dynamic xhmtl, which is really a spin off from dhtml, but with the added power of xml content driven sites (yeah I know very simplified overwiew).

I also like fooling around with flash and DHTML Integration and cant wait till we get full svg support in browsers. I am at a point in my web development, where I care less and less for browsers that dont support standards. But I host a resource site for developers, that pulls ina decent crowd daily, so I can afford this luxury, where as others that are doing work for clients may not be in this position as yet. For me, the real kick out of development is doing things that no-one else has done, or finding unique solutions to problems.

I am a psychologist by profession and really need to knock my Ph.D off (maybe next year who knows :-) ). The connection to web development is really clear here I bet.

I am also writing a book with Jeff Rouyer of http://www.htmlguru.com/ fame. Now thats an experience and a half, I should write a book just about working with this guy!! I can tell you from personal experience, that the rumour that he is a genius is utterly true, I kid you not!

Lets see I was born in Italy, came to live in Australia when I was 3 with my parents and have lived here ever since. I am about to get married to a canadian girl and plan to live there for a few years till she finishes her studies. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cold in candada!!

Hope I can contribute positively to this forum and help out people from time to time.

Well, that would be great, psych3. I have been visiting your site and the html guru. Another great source of inspiration, I guess. Yeah, I agree with you with Doc' works. That's the primary drive of my presence in this forum. I totally like them and personally I admired Doc's great masterpieces.

SVG is great. I've downloaded the plug- in from Adobe.com. I read about it but never really have the chance to try it out. I've visited some websites which use SVG and I can say that they're impressive.

Tell us when you finish the book. That'll be great. I look forward to add it up in my mini library. Anyway, glad to have you here.
