also, the win98 clock has a known bug that causes it to slow down. for a while, i was running win98 on what is now our webserver, and it lost a significant ammount of time (2 hours one night). restarting the machine would somehow set the clock to its proper time. i didnt replace the battery and it has kept time no problems after i switched to NT (and its now running openBSD). this might have been just an issue with early win98 versions. most of the problems with the clock slowing down were related to various nortons crap utilities i had running (which i certainly dont run anymore). |

Same problem here sometimes I lose anywhere from 2-30 minutes a night. |
