Doc - I was looking around from work, where I am stuck with 800 x 600 resolution....it causes a vertical scrollbar on the center frame...and since I don't have ie5.5 there, it's a big ugly scrollbar instead of your colored ones.......so it's really really ugly

Not sure if you were aware of it...I know you keep your browser windows long.

Nah, I'm aware of that, but it's going to have to wait until I eliminate the frames entirely, possibly this weekend. Chances are the page will still have a scrollbar, but at least I'll be able to move it to the outside edge!

Funny, I had a great conversation with Malin the other day about this issue, they have a client who wants their new site optimized for 800x600, and I became convinced that no designers ever *really* look at a site that way. She's now got everyone in her project funning at 800x600 for a day just to see how it feels. (I expect it will influence the design!

It used to fit just fine, but your footer has gotten longer and longer over the months! pretty soon you'll need a second page for your footer

I have a second computer that is mainly for my daughter's use, I use that to test my pages on - it's 800x600 and has different browser versions on it. You're right though, many people don't even think about 800x600 anymore.
