Any Terry Pratchett Fans! Like that should be a question! Eyenyone's a Terry Pratchett Fan!

Yeah, He was in Brisbane about 8 Months back, got most of my books signed.

Hey, you know that one of my friends was written into one of his latest books! Yeah, I have this weird ass goth firend called Amaya (not that I'm a goth or anything), and well it seems that Mr Prtachett has a umm.. *cough* weird thing for goth chicks. She's an even bigger TP fan than I! Ans she even invited him out to lunch with me and a bunch of our friends whwn he was here last and he said he come, only later to call and say that he was flying down to Sydney a day earlier Arr well, mabey next time

TP Quiz: Which *recent* Terry Pratchett book had a character named Amaya. (Hint could be a last or first name)

Yeah, I hated to sound so... um, what is the word, uncultured will do.

Yeah I don't want to feel uncultured, but who is the man in question?

Don't worry about it mage. I hate to admit it, but a lot of people don't know who T. Pratchett is.

Basically, he's an author and he wrote a series of books called the Discworld novels. Internationally, all the DWorld novels have been bestsellers and he has a rabid fanbase. In fact, an original edition of his first book, "The Colour of Magic", is worth over 500 pounds (over a thousand US dollars).

It's not real big in the US right now, but they are re-releasing select editions of his books and sales are good so far.

Rinswind: yeah, I figured that's where your name came from. Too bad you can't come

Dracusis: I'm guessing either The Fifth Elephent or The Truth. If not, it could be the Last Continent or Jingo. I've only read these last ones four or five times, so I'm not sure.

Yeah that would be a good question. Which one to start with? I am only needing to work a 40h a week over the summer, so I should have lots of free time

Well, I'd suggest either "Men at Arms" or "Reaper Man". They are both pretty solid books. Also, "Interesting Times" is a great one as well, but there's a bit of backstory that will make it even better if you've read some of the other ones.

Also, another good book to start with is "Small Gods". Enjoy!
