First off WOW! I have never seen sites so in detail and so much eye candy it's just WOW!

About your javascript for your www.cafepress.com store. I am new to code outside of HTML and have used premade scripts in my code, and I know how to grab code and so forth. Is it ok to use your Javascript from your store for my own use, not to sell it or anything but to get my 100+ designs up on the net and for sale. I would be more than happy to list a visable link on my site back to yours. If it is ok with you to use your code, is there anything else that may get parsed and not show up in a 'view source' that I will need to add. Or, could you post the code and pages needed in here?

I would have posted this on cafepress's board but it takes soooo long for a post to go in. If you allow me to use the script, and if it is ok with you, I would like to put a tutorial together on how to use it from a lamans viewpoint.

Again, Great site, grafix, and information.....

My current mishaps are at http://www.rx7club.com/stuff and http://jefcard.nstemp.com

F8..kill the frames and learn flash or shockwave....................nothing worse then scroll bars destroying your interface.

as far as code goes.......its not hard to take anothers code and make it your own.................i would be learning at least flash-4 and Director -7 for the future....expensive yes....but worth it........your business is only as good as the tools you master...and all the futurist are learning multimedia.

todays sites are gearing for broad band.............remember there are more people leaving 56k and joining the broad band then the opposit............and the broad band audiance are the progressive spenders.....the ol conservatives who refuse to spend any money on upgrades wont buy on-line anyways so...............as a designer im fishing in the braod band pond and leaving the tight wads behind......................

Howdy F8L! Sorry I didn't get back to your mail, it came in today while at work and I haven't gotten to it yet. Oh, don't bash him on the frames usage, he's a cafePress store owner kinda guy, I used frames on my store implemetation, with a BUTTload of javascript to hold all the variables together, with a final javascript to write the form that gets sent to cafepress, which shows up in their look & feel, so frames are an OK thing really. Frames are good when frames are good, and bad when they're silly. Look at his store, and then compare the functionality of my store (which merges 2 cafePress tores), and you'll see what he's after, I wouldn't urge anyone to start with this script as a learning device, but since it's something useful that is needed, what better place? F8L, I'll go over the details with you in a bit.

<note>Yes, the cafePress forum does suck bigtime, doesn't it?</note>

DocCyber: I know I have been trying to impliment commerce.cgi now but it is slow even on a dsl. The way CafePress handles the orders, I dont need a physical inventory just a shell. From the Multi stores that I have seen (even Cafepress' JSP beta) they are slow to load on a variety of servers. DocOzones and a copy at www.rudewaregear.com are the fastest and the guys at rudeware have at least 75 different designs with at least 8 products each with at least another 8 sizez available with-in. That would be about 1200 individual items to add to a shopping cart, and it doesnt matter if its jsp, asp, php, cgi, or cfm it will load slow as it tryies to search the database for it.

The ingenious way DocOzones script handles it, leaves a DB out and a simple way to add new items while keeping a fast loading system going. Security isnt a concern as far as credit cards are concerned as that is hadnled on cafepress' secure servers, and If I want to make sure that the customer sees the https page then I'll add a <....target="_Blank"> to the check out button.

I have the 'multi order page' but there is soooooo much code in there it makes my customers have to use their brain too much, and I have 55 more designs sitting on my harddrive right now waiting for a home, I have been requested to design other Import Vehicle Shirts and whatnot and have been making about $50-$100 for doing basically nothing. I am not looking to get rich off this (items are way to overpriced at the wholesale end) but I dont have to handle crap except adding new designs.

DocOzone: That would be great, My stress is lifting already If you like for the rest of my stores that I add I can set you up as the the referer and you can get the $0.50 a sale, just let me know the name of one of your stores. I really appreciate this and any help you provide, thank you.
