Preserved Topic: how can i download .RM files? (Page 1 of 1)

hello!

ppl. like me on a very slow connection hate to listen .RM files while beeing connected to the net, instead i want to be able to download them, but the problem i don't know how to handle the RSTP or the PNM protcols!

Anyone knows how to download files like:
rstp://server.com/file.rm
pnm://lala.com/dsda.rm

?

Try replacing Real's protocol with plain http:// and use some download manager (i.e. GetRight) to download those files...

http:// actually sometimes won't work. Depends on how the server is configured usually though it;s one or the other.

Realy I'm not sure if it can be done. The files are meant to be streamed in order to prevent theft.

try using getright or some other download manager

I did try to replace the rstp:// with http:// but it doesn't always work....
I heard something about Real Producer that can save these stuff...but first i don't have it and second i'm not sure about it.

Realproducer can "create" this files... i am not shure to "save" it from another location.
If you want to listen to some music which you can find online, you maybe try to get some mp3's instead.
If you use realproducer you have to pay a certain amount off money to the guys from Realnetworks.com
