do I have to have a static IP in order to have network solutions to point like www.galaxal.com to my computer instead of my host? or dhcp is fine? |

You need to have a static IP address. If you don't have it, you can try DynDNS service... |

I'm hosting the "DocOzone.com" domain through DNS2GO.com, they have a small application that lives on one of my networked home machines, which gets the DHCP adddress I was last assigned and makes sure that my domain always points to where I'm at. Hopefully, this week I'll actually get myself 2 static IP#s, woo-hoo! I'm going to use one for the overall home network, and take one of my personal machines for the other, as Malin still doesn't realize what a *joy* it is to have your machine at one constant place. |
