Preserved Topic: M$ "New" DAMN browser...

I've just got W2K at work and with it came IE5.5 (SP1). I liked it at first 'cause earlier we had a stupid company-stripped down version of IE 4.

Now all of a sudden I get those pesky expand arrows in all my menus. I did *not* ask for them!!! I managed to disable the function in Outlook 2K, before it drove me mad.

Now, is there way in hell that the same is possible in IE 5.5?

It totally screws up my favorites, and most of the other navigation in the menus. I remember coords in the menu's first and text second.

Anyone???

If you can't convince, confuse!

It's usually in Tools -> Customize... if that's not there, try Tools -> options, otherwise I can't help you.

Start > Settings > Taskbar > Start Menu and clear the Use Personalized Menus option on the General tab.

But I can't seem to get everything correct in the browser...

Do I have to make one catalogue at the favorites root and put everything (folders and bookmarks) in that to get things flowing? Seems utterly stupid

Sorry Slime. In IE all "Tools" you have is Mail and News, Synchronize and Internet Options. Thanks anyway.

I am not sure but I guess it should be automatically changed in your browser as well. Probably you must restart IE or something. You definitely don't have to make any changes in your favorites folder (like catalogue you mentioned or so...).

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Enable Personalized Favorites Menu
