ok, this one is for java experts:

i have an applet that does userprofile management.
it has been running on a win2kserver without any problems.

now i try to run it on a winnt4server. so i installed everything and tried it out. but when i want to add or update a userprofile i get the following error:

UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION
java.security.AccessControlException: accessdenied (java.net.SocketPermission 172.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx connect, reolve)

anyone know where is what wrong?
the user has administrator rights and also the internetuser on the winnt4 has all rights. the machine is running a local http server (IBM i think).

big thanks in advance.

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.
