"ZNIP", in other words, as in znippets or zniplets. I'm bottling up all of my scripts again, into a neater framework for me to deal with, my own scripts were starting to confuse me! You can check out either of those two domains above, just add a ".com"! (Or visit www.bigbonfire.com who so graciously gave up his space so that the Zniplets might live!) I'll keep tweaking and adding to the scripts, and then I'll use them to create the effects I need in the ozonicLabs.com site. Along the way I get Zniplets of code that I can pas on to others, allowing them to use the base functions and just write their own "control" scripts. If you use the site template, you can have it write all the needed snippets into one output file for use on your site. I'd *like* to see about adding user logins and the possibility of saving zniplet combinations in their user data files, so the work can be re-built when next you visit. Of course, you'd need a place to store your personal zniplets, but maybe you'd like to share? Maybe you'd like to napster-like dig through all the other collections in a P2P connection?

Still, not to get carried away. At least I'll document my way along as I program this beast, and offer up the znips for comments and downloading. If that's all it turns into, that'd be cool. I couldn't mix in new code until I finish working out the namespace and naming conventions I'll use, may as well be specific. Ah! Onto the big question, why I posted in the first place...

What does Z.N.I.P stand for? It started as a pun on "snippets", but I used a Z cause, well, I have one in my name! And it looked cool. Still, that XTLA should have a fancy long version to go with it, people will ask! Any ideas?

Second question for you. I could brand this thing under "Znippets" or "Zniplets", I have both domain names. What do those two words say to you? What would you expect to find on the other end? Which one might you remember? =) I could go either way, I can't decide.

To me, Znippets stands for a piece of code. Zniplets might be some Chech dessert. Znippets is a better name.

Heh, this is another fantastic idea of yours Doc. I am sure a lot of people will benefit from this, not to mention yourself of course.

On to the real question here: "Znippets" or "Zniplets", I would have to say the former of the two. "Znippets", is a little closer to "Snippets" (but cooler of course!), and says that there will be some helpful code and such on the other side. "Znilpets" seems, well, a little to "nippley". Both would be equally remembered I would think.

To go off topic here, how many domain names do you own Doc? I can think of 6 off the top of my head...

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

I am not interested in registering any domains at the moment, I am just curious how large Doc's domain library is. I think he may be addicted to registering domains... .

I will keep the link on hand for later use though. Thanks.
