Since there's another discussion about 5k competition going on here, I decided to post the link to 256b.htm Minimalistic HTML Competition that was held a few months ago. This competition is even crazier than 5k competition, because maximum size is 256 bytes, which is extremely small...

Anyway, take a look at the entries and see what amazing things can be done in just 256 bytes...

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

Nevertheless, some of the effects are really cool.

IMHO Not conforming to the HTML specification is not a big issue here...

Oh, that is so *sweet*! Thanks for pointing htis out to us maX, I don't think I'll be able to look at the 5k competition quite the same way again, heh.

<cranky old man voice> 5k? 5K!? Hah! When I was a lad, we only had 256 bytes, and we were HAPPY about it! (mumble) Kids today... </cranky>

Ha! Luxury! I can remember when we had to use magnetic cassettes, and everything was programed in machine language...

Magnetic cassettes! You were lucky! We had to rewire our brains and configure our eyeballs as monitors to run a program!

(My impressions of the site: Oh my God that is some amazing stuff. I hold these people in the highest regard.)
