Suho: We may have a spot for ya! If you hang around till the end of next week, we might be dropping a no-show or two. If that happens, it won't yet be too late for you to jump in as a replacement. Dark stepped into a slot here in the second round. If you are really interested, get yourself set up at Stan's and standby.

Could have been. Wish I had more time to hang here. I have been a huge fan of Docs for years. I am just trying to get him to admit that he was first inspired by myself and not the other way around... lol

Well Ron...just got done looking at your site...not bad. Like the graphics section...one question tho - the globe of the earth with the metal bands...where did you get the idea for that? Looks a lot like one of Docs old 'front door' graphics (not meaning it's the same...just the metal bands...). Very nice...how was it done? Is that Bryce?

My game with Skaarjj should start pretty soon now, he managed to get 'turned on' so I challenged him...

Always ready for some chess Suho if you want someone not-very-good to play against my player page

BeeKay: The end of next week? Sounds cool. I'm going to be pretty busy until then, but I should at least have the time to set up an account.

WS: Maybe I'll take you up on that offer after I get set up. You know, just to get a handle on how badly I suck.

Thanks for the input Ron...thought it was Bryce...

@suho....bring it on big? guy...after a sound whooping, you'll go back to shock treatments...

All fun aside, it's a great way to learn fast...that's how I learned chess...by getting the pants whipped off me...took me two weeks...nothing like public embarassment...it's a great incentive...

Hmm... in order to be shocked I would have to be surprised, no? The only thing that would shock me would be if I won. So I guess we'd have to say no, that doesn't count.

I had the wrong piece 'outlined' and then clicked the send button...never play netchess early in the morning...*goes into stupid, dumb idiot mode* Oh well, on with the game *stupid fingers...stupid brain...stupid, stupid, stupid...*

Hah! I played my first dozen moves with Sash while also writing as big presentation for the next day, how stupid was that? Anyone who really wants to watch me get my ass kicked had better follow this link. If I wasn't such a stubborn bastard I'd probably tip right around now, but I'l have to see if I can come up with *any* surprises here!

Whoaha! Ok, but my mistake was 'accidental'...I was examining the board, didn't realize that I had the king outlined, tried to move my rook (thought it was my rook) and accidentally moved my king, instead. Stuuuupid!!!! *begins kicking self again* Dammit! Wish there was a 'redo move' key, to fix such probs...oh well, on with the game...*continues to kick self*

Ouch! OK Webshaman, you take the prize for that one, I can't top that! When I played with benev the first time, he moved his knight out, and then back to where it came from, hmm. I decided to do the same thing to keep the game even! Maybe WJ can do something similar? He could move his King out and you could glare at each other, then you take turns moving back where you were. (Hmm, no optin for castling that way, though. Bummer, you be screwed!)

Thanks Doc (yup I be screwed...)...no, it was my mistake, I'll just have to live with it...the game goes on! If I actually manage to win the game (and WJ is really giving me a run for my money...), it'll just be sweeter...and if I lose, I can always say 'well, if I had just done that differently...'

The site webmaster, Stan, is real cool about setting moves back provided both players are in agreement. So, if ya want, you and your opponent can send emails to Stan asking for the game to be set back to a certain move. He will usually do it for ya without a problem. I know how frustrating accidental moves can be ... made more than my fair share ...

Well, after thinking about it for awhile, I decided to let the move stand...in tournament chess, once the piece is touched, it must be moved...so even though it was accidental, the move stands...time to take my medicine...so it's your move WJ. Come and get me, baby!

Well, my game with Sash is over, I just resigned last night. It was a relief actually, *nothing* went right for me in that game, I was feeling a little bit desperate by move #8, and it never got any better. Great game Sash! You impressed the hell out of me, it seemed you didn't fall for any of the usual ploys I use on others, (bummer, that ;-) Heh. So, I'm now 1-0-1!

I really need to watch myself, and decide when I should be responding to moves! I came near to screwing up in my game with my pal Glyn ("Grimgod", I think WS, you're playing him now?) ANYways, I finished up a very delicate and difficult price quote last night, and then quick wuick before bed I glanced at the board and then moved, after delaying for 2 days nearly. D'oh! What was I thinking? Careful Doc, careful.

Thanks for joining in and have fun!
