Ok what I need is a hosting service (not have to be free) that allows me to buy a domain name (.com/.net/.org) that offers atleast 50 megs of space, that offers me to have my own ftp/server where I work my site, which has no pop-up adds, which offers free sub domains and extensions (such as whatever.domain-name.com or domain-name.com/whatever), that is php/cgi/perl/ascii/message board compatible, and that costs under $30.

Did I leave anything out?

there is a big web hosting forum where hosts grab customers, can't think of the name right now. But from what I've seen, hosts that don't charge much don't last long. Depends on how much reliablity you want I guess.

$30 a year may be simply asking too much. Most places, you're going to have to pay that much just for domain maintenence.

The 7.50 a month that Pugzly is offering is *probably* about the best you're gonna get for what it includes.

Well, the whatever-domain.com/whatever you can do on your own with no issues. Canonical domains, like whatever.domain-name.com is no biggie. We won't let you do 800 of them, but it's usually not an issue.

Cheapest plan is $80/yr (counting the domain: $5/mo for the hosting + $20/yr for the domain). They have everything you mentioned except for subdomains (something.domain.com), I think.

The only annoyance that I've run into is some htaccess restrictions. But I'd still recommend them if you need something cheap. Put me down as a referrer ( John Haggerty, www.slimeland.com ) if you use them =)

I don't know who you are paying $20 a year for a domain from.

000domains.com - $13 year
bigdaddy - last time I checked was 9.99 year

Hosting: 5dollarhosting.com if you pay for the year it is just $5. The full suite of services. And good customer support.

However, you won't get as good as pugzly offers in customer support nor in services. I mean he is here answering our questions daily.

Last time I checked, GoDaddy had the best domain prices, $8.95/year, and less if you buy more than one year.

I've often wonder this but I've never really asked. Do you have a website outlining the hosting plan(s) you offer?

HostEurope is not German...they were bought out by a company in England...and now they are European...but that doesn't really matter, does it? I mean, it's just not all that important where they are these days...

So far I am debating on using slimes or wj's, but I think slimes is betta in price, TY slime, and I will refer to you when I sign www.tri-eye.com up.
