Recently i did my first big design for print project, i had to make up some posters and flyers etc from A0 down to A4 size and also coordinate with the TV and radio stations (not easy as my czech sucks) well to cut a long story short the client went with my work and now every bus tram etc has my artwork in it, the A0 posters are in the big shopping centers and in the subways...

It was a lot of hard work especially in a new field for me, but when i actually saw the posters out and about yesterday i felt great, the radio ad's are already on air and the tv adverts start today...

I am a tired but very happy bunny...

laugh ok but i will link it from my website as its for a live internet chat firm and its not suitable for everyone! no nudity tho... will make it into jpg format but keep it a4 size at 72 dpi..

imagine the size of the AO photoshop image at 400 dpi....gibber

edit hmm masterpiece i dont think just a bit of photo manipulation and text on a black bg, went for high vis and readability WS you will know what i mean by how busy the trams and electric buses get over here in europe so it had to be readable from a distance. lemme dig it up compress it and post a link here

A0 Version
A4 Version

not the most amazing of things but it got the contract due to clarity and visibility (2 main points client wanted) and there are about 5000 in circulation.
edit sorry about the file size but i did optimise them one of was originally 198 mb

laugh its a recruitment campaign for models to work in the live chat stuff, over here its accepted much more than in western europe and the states and common to see adverts like this around. if ya think the average wage for a girl here after training as a teacher or a nurse is about 8000 crowns a month and a mans average salary is about 12000 you can see why so many girls/couples do this work. over here the glamour industry is treated like any other job and carries none of the stigma attached by other societies/country's.

so the ad's key selling point was the money 30000-80000 crowns a month. and had to be visible in all lighting, on the actual poster that yellow is slightly flourescent so even in dim lighting on the buses at night time it sticks out like crazy. like i said not much to it just some layer masking on the keyboard to get it to fade into the monitor, chopping the monitor up from a digi pic of my monitor capturing the chat and dropping it into the monitor's screen area.

i got lucky had almost exactly in mind after getting the clients brief and only did a few minor revisions, the layout of the text etc was all his choice.

but it sure as hell paid well

i would rather work with pretty models

as we speak!

lol one of my biggest clients is a model agency, its not all that much fun but like i said it pays the bills and considering how easy a job this was relatively speaking thats the reason why i am such a happy bunny, plus the tie ins to radio and television its the biggest job i have had to do yet.

Hey hey, that's a cool gig! I love doing work for print, especially when it gets posted all over the place, nothing better for the ol' ego, eh? I remember I did an ad for VISI way back when that was placed in these special "bathroom" displays, over the urinals and on the inside doors of public toilet stalls. Sure, it sounds strange, but you really get people when they have a few moments to spare! ;-) The ad was so successful, the company that posted them printed an extra few thousand and they ended up in some of the oddest, far-flung places. I took great pride from seeing my work posted in bathrooms across the tri-state area! Congrats man, good job!

LOL cheers Doc, ya right though every time i go home theres one of my posters in my face, and now on tv tonight there is an ad with it in, and then this interview with the boss of the company and my credits will be on all of em so hopefully i may pick up some extra work out of it. its one of those cases where the right idea at the right time can really pay off, also listening to exactly what the client wants and delivering it to him fast and being prepared to bite ya tongue when he wont change his mind.

So all in all my first major multi disciplined foray into the world of advertising paid off hence one happy bunny
