Hey,
If anyone is interested, I have added some more features to a color randomizer I have on my page about colors.
Check it out at http://www.webwhirlers.com/colors/spinwheel.asp

What do you think? Any ideas for improving it?

Oh, and a question... Is there a way to control the pop-up window that is
created when the form button is pressed? Now when you press "see web page"
all I have is a target="_blank", but I would like to be able to control the size and look
of this window some more, like with a javascript pop-up.

Thanks.

That's neat, ZOX! I think that's a keeper!

<EDIT: Improvement? Maybe allow the user to enter a hex code for any of the three colors. This way, the user could enter a color they know they want, HOLD it, and see what other colors come up.>

it's lookin good. I go to your colors page all the time, it's a great little site. I especially use this page: http://www.webwhirlers.com/colors/wizard.asp also, when are you going to have those other color meanings up? Not to rush you or anything, they're just interesting, and you did a good job with red, so I can't wait to see what the other colors "mean". Also I gotta say I absolutely love the graphic on the front page (http://www.webwhirlers.com/colors/index.asp) so cool with all those colors.

It would be better if it was more instant , so you could flick through your selections quickly, as in Javascript. The ideas good and looks handy I like the way you see a wee little layout , more options on that would be cool. If you had four or five little layouts ready to be coloured.

Color Wheel ver 2.0.1 is now up and running

Thank you all for your comments

I am still having some problems with the form/javascript thing. I tried the code from the GurusNetwork generator, and though it did open up the page in the right size window, it did not send the variables from the form, or at least not in my attempt.

Is there any way to call for the javascript function through the ACTION command in the FORM tag?

Wangenstein, that is a good idea! I have found myself wanting to just adjust one of the colors slightly, and see what it looks like with the others. I'll see how I can implement this. Maybe in ver. 3

Hugh, having more layouts to choose from sounds like a good idea, I will try to add that. For now I have trimmed the code quite a bit, and hopefully that makes it a bit faster. Before I had a database involved, but not any more.

Was even able to get the size of the page down to less than 5k, but with all that ASP I guess it does not qualify for our 5k competition
