Preserved Topic: Is Mac getting a bit more aggressive these days? (Page 1 of 1)

Check this out, seems like a new campaign strategy to me. Also, that nifty educational eMac is available to the public now for $1100. Not bad for a 700 G4 and 17" flat screen, these might just sell like crazy.. Hmm, Macworld is about a month away.. any speculation as to what suprises are in store?

I've seen them and the only one that bugs me is the one with the guy talking about the Blue Screen of Death. He implies how Windows crashes all the time, but Macs never do, a myth I get sick of almost as much as the "but Macs are better for graphics" rhetoric.

I can't remember the last time either of my Windows machines crashed. In fact, I haven't seen the BSOD in probably a couple of years. As for Macs crashing, the most notorious machines I ever worked with were the Macs at my old Kinko's job. Crashed constantly.

Now, don't misunderstand me. I'm not implying, as the commercial does, that either OS crashes more than the other. I'm saying it depends on the machine, the configuration, the software, the operator, ad infinitum.

But, I guess that's advertising.

(BTW, please do not start a Windoze ***, Macs suck debate. I don't care what you use as long as it fits you.)
