Preserved Topic: Another help topic....boot failure (Page 1 of 1)

Well here goes another prob....um...a coupla mates are around with their comp that has a message saying "boot failure:system halted". Also another message is displayed "CMOS Battery Low".
I made a boot disk last night for it but it doesnt seem to be doing anything. The OS is WinMe.
Is it the battery causing this? If so do we need a new one? How can we fix it?

well the battery is located on the motherboard, just replace it w/ a new one.

Done...and it worked
