Would it not be as simple as joining the cables up ? Are they not color coded ? If there not try reconstruct it from what you can , did the rat did eat through all the wires did he !? But be carefull because if you join the wrong ones it could mess up everything , seeing as though peripherals can draw power from it, two of them must have a bit of voltage behind them. I *think* it has like 9v. |

You know, I read the subject of this: "mouse attacked by rat" with the word "blood" also in there, and after reading the line "bought a new mouse" thought that you had bought a mouse - like, a real mouse - and it had been attacked by a rat. |

Usually that kind of wire is made up of some pretty high gauge stuff. You may be able to solder them back togethor; that is if they are color coded. You may be better off taking to an elelctronics repair shop. Someone there should know what they are doing and be able to help you. |

You should be able to test connectivity with a multi-meter (set to Ohms)...that will help you with the original 'Which wire goes where?' question...and a little soldering... |
