Preserved Topic: A Web Site for Faris (Page 1 of 1)

My best friend recently welcomed his first child into the world ? a little girl named Faris ? and he asked me to create a Web site for her. I thought I'd start with a blog so Faris's parents can create a sort of day-by-day, online baby book.

But, I'm trying to come up with a clever name for the site. You know, like "The Faris Wheel" or "Faris, Texas" or "The Faris of Them All." Except, like I said, something clever.

Any ideas?

Bueller's day off? <lol> Never MIND!!

How about "As Fair As"?
Or "Fair Haired Baby"?
Or opt for things not name/rhyme related.
Like "It's a Baby's World"?
Or "After the Chrysalis"?

Just a few things off the top...

I got it, NoJive. Actually, I thought of "Save Faris" already, but wanted to avoid that one.

But, I really would like to include her name in the title. It's a kind of dedication to her. And someday, maybe, she'll take it up as her own and it will be a record of her life.

Wes: I think you've got the natural with "The Faris Wheel." The graphical elements just seem to fall in place...bright colours, fun times... people laughing. A ferris wheel lends itself to animated gif's etc etc...
I'm not including it but do an image search on google...there are 'tons' of 'em.

Wes: One thing you should consider is saving this thread and include it somewhere in the site... imagine Faris looking over this 20 years from now. Some of us will be dead and gone by then. Me for sure! (lol)

NoJive/InSiDeR; I don't get the Bueller's comments. What do they have to do with Faris?

Wes; Are the parents by chance Final Fantasy fans? The only time I saw the name "Faris" was in Final Fantasy V.

mahjqa they're doing a play on words, using the phonetics of Faris' name. There's a classic teen movie called Ferris Bueller's Day Off, starring Matthew Broderick.

Mahjqa: I always thought a "Faris" was a female blacksmith. But I cant find the definition on the web anywhere. Maybe Im crazy because that is a pretty specific guess, but I think its a female blacksmith.

mahjqa: I was referring to the movie Witherin mentioned. Ben Stein (sp?? has a TV game show called something like 'Win Ben Steins Money' but I have no idea who Bueller is on that one. Sorry.

Hmm. Looks like The Faris Wheel has got the votes so far. I'll go with that I think.
