Preserved Topic: Asylum Ring? (Page 1 of 1)

I would have addressed this to Doc in yet another e-mail, but I get the feeling he's busy or something or maybe my e-mails aren't going through, but my site went non-active on the ring, and I can't figure why. The code has never left the page and it hasn't changed so .. what's the deal?

I can't answer your question about the ring...
However, Doc is away at the moment.... I think he'll be returning this weekend.... look to get his attention then.

then the answer is pretty obvious. The Asylum Ring has been broken for a while because people didn't put the HTML fragment on their page so that people visiting your page could continue on to the next (and this needs to be present before you sign up to the ring). A little while ago this issue came up and I believe the Doc appointed someone to check the Ring, clean up dead links and remove sites that didn't display the code. I can't find the Asylum Ring code anywhere obvious on your site and so the simple answer is you got bumped because you were breaking the Ring. Add the code and reapply.

After readin what you said I went back to your page..... nope still can't see anything.... I push my face up against the screen..... I squint a bit..... By Jove there does appear to be something there but I can't make it out..... a quick wave of the mouse and the black text on very dark background changes to white and finally I can see the web ring code.

I may have my monitor set a little dark (ironic eh? Its lucky you changed your username or we would be in real trouble here) but that is still pretty ridiculous - the whole point is that people can find the Asylum Ring links and that doesn't make it easy.

I will revise what I said above in light (no pun intended) of the above. If you haven't been bumped by accident then I would suggest it was for one of two reasons:

1. The person checking the Asylum Ring couldn't find the links.

2. They could but thought it was so well hidden that other people would struggle.

Make the text more visible and resubmit it.

Well I've only had a few people tell me that the link color(s) were to dark and they were on Macs.
Just forget the whole thing .. I'll resubmit in a couple months if/when I decided to redesign.
